“A carbon monoxide leak in on Jan. 28 caused 127 students to evacuate and sent some Stephens College students to the hospital. Stephens College installed detectors in the hallways of the two residence halls that had dangerous levels of the gas, Searcy and Prunty halls, by the end of that month….’The cause of the CO was a mechanical failure with the boiler…The fact that it wasn’t recognized and that it was allowed to build up CO, that there weren’t CO detectors or instrumentation to alert nearby people in the occupied space…'”
