“A man and woman in their 60s were hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning in a home…’when Gig Harbor Fire walked into the house, their air monitors immediately went up to 115 (ppm), so it was already really high levels…But then upstairs in the bedrooms, it was 750…’ It’s unclear how long the victims were unconscious before first responders arrived. The call came in from a neighbor, whom a family member asked to check on the home’s occupants after having trouble reaching them…Family members on the scene reported that the home was equipped with carbon monoxide sensors but that they did not go off. She didn’t have information on what type of sensors the home had….”
