“More than a 100 guests were evacuated from a hotel in northeast Calgary on Thursday afternoon due to a carbon monoxide call.

Emergency crews were called to the Emerald Hotel & Suites near Sunridge Blvd and Barlow Trail NE just before 2 p.m.

Calgary Fire says crews were initially called to the hotel for a medical incident involving two people found in the basement. Once on scene, crews detected carbon monoxide readings exceeding 300 ppm, a level considered immediately hazardous, prompting a full building evacuation.

Around 120 people were evacuated. Two people were taken to the nearby Peter Lougheed Hospital…”
