“Three construction workers were sent to the hospital after a carbon monoxide incident on Main Street in Preston.

At around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, the Preston Volunteer Fire Company was called to the 200 block of Main Street for a carbon monoxide emergency at the location of the old bank.

Preston Volunteer Fire Company Lt. Troy Plutschak said firefighters arrived to find three patients with high readings of carbon monoxide in the building.

‘Running gas-powered saws while cutting concrete floors,’ Plutschak said of what caused the carbon monoxide emergency.”
