“The incident occurred at an Embassy Suites near Central Avenue and Thomas Road. The Phoenix Fire Department received the initial call around 4:30 p.m…It remains unclear who first alerted authorities…many young people were staying at the hotel for a weekend sports event…Several guests attempting to check in said they were unaware of the situation.”
