“The family went to bed in a vacation rental house they booked online, and nothing seemed odd until about 4:30 a.m.
‘My husband and I were asleep and woke up to a loud bang,’ Cari Hall, the mother of the family, said. ‘I got up to investigate the noise.’
Cari Hall said something suddenly felt off.
‘All of a sudden my legs just stopped moving,’ she said.
She said she mustered enough strength to make it back to bed, where she tried to calm down and orient herself.
‘I’m laying there, and I keep thinking something’s not right,’ she said.
Cari Hall said she then heard one of her sons vomiting in the bathroom and that her husband went to check on him.
The son who was vomiting, Raleigh Hall, has food allergies. The family said they thought he might have been having a reaction to a food he ate.”
